Scott Christopher

Scott Christopher is a multidisciplinary American artist whose practice spans painting, photography, sculpture, writing, and filmmaking, guided by a lifelong fascination with creativity, unlimited human potential, and the idea that art can expand the way we understand the world. Based in Santa Fe, New Mexico for thirty-four years, Christopher’s work is driven by intuition, bold experimentation with materials, and a deeply personal philosophy that sees art as both exploration and discovery.

Christopher’s path to the arts has been anything but conventional. Earlier in life he pursued athletics at the highest level, becoming a professional baseball champion and record holder before ultimately turning his attention toward artistic pursuits. Over many decades his creative career has unfolded across many excavated disciplines with artistic and creative exchanges in forty-one countries. Along the way he has worked with or photographed hundreds of cultural icons and public figures ranging from Elvis Presley, Mickey Mantle, Michael Jackson, The Discovery Network, Paloma Picasso and Audrey Hepburn to Princess Di and Queen Elizabeth II, while also producing work for publications, galleries, and major cultural events.

In the studio, Christopher’s paintings often evolve through an intensely physical process. Large-scale surfaces are constructed and carved before layers of paint are applied, creating works that blend texture, geometry, and expressive color. Series such as his expansive “Chromosome” works explore themes of human existence and transformation, reflecting Christopher’s broader interest in the mysteries of life, genetics, and consciousness. The "All of it All" drives his passion and love to make art.

Christopher has exhibited widely throughout the United States and abroad. He has been featured in galleries, festivals, and cultural institutions. In addition to his studio practice, he is also an author and public speaker whose work often centers on perseverance, creativity, and the pursuit of big dreams. His most current book, "Baseball, Art, and Dreams", was #1 on Amazon's newly released baseball biographies.

Today Christopher continues to work from Santa Fe, creating ambitious projects that range from monumental paintings to multimedia explorations. His work reflects a restless creative spirit—one that moves freely between disciplines while remaining grounded in the belief that art, at its core, is a universal language capable of connecting people across cultures and generations. He is deeply engaged in global artistic projects with his very talented and internationally recognized artist wife, Elizabeth Hayes Christopher.
